taps
What is tap and die used for in Engineering Taps and dies are tools used to create screw threads, which is called threading. A tap is used to cut and A die is used to cut or form the hole for the bolt
When would you use a tap for a thread A taper tap is most often used when the material is difficult
Does the hole need to be bigger or smaller , explain why .Using the correct hole size is important on two points. First, if the hole is too large, the root of the threads will be too shallow and insufficient and may strip out or fail. If the hole is too small, it will cause the tap to bind and quite possibly break trying to cut too much material.
What are the different types of tap ( taper, intermediate, taper) explain the difference between them Taper taps are normally used in through hole applications or as a starter tap for blind holes. ... In blind hole applications, Plug taps are used after a Taper to get closer to the bottom of the hole. Bottoming tap have a 1.5 thread chamfer.
If finished add a you tube clip no longer than 3 mins .tap and die

The novel ‘Children of blood and bone’ by Tomi Adeyemi is about a girl named Zelie who was trying to restore magic for her people with the help of her friends. In the text, the relationship between Inan and Zelie helped me to understand Inan. This is because it showed me a love-hate relationship between everyone and his father, and him changing throughout the story, also the betrayal that he shows both to his father and Zelie.
Essay practise
Essay question: ‘Describe an incident which changes the course of events in the text. Explain how this helped you to understand an important idea in the text’
Statement | Example/Evidence (include a quote) | EXplain quote | EXplain Effect on the Reader | Your link -- to another part of the text | Your link -- to the wider world |
The incident of Inan changing sides helped me to understand the important idea of the conflict of duty to family vs following your heart because it showed me that Inan was forming a strong friendship with the people around him and he betrayed them by going back to his father . | We see this in the text when Inan says magic will die for good. | This means that Inan Is going to make sure magic doesn't come back and make his father proud of him. | This made the reader feel sad because Inan was starting to make friends and he switched sides . | It reminded me of another important part in the book when king Saran made Amari and Inan fight each other , because this also shows the idea of being bad runs in the family. | In the real world, this idea is important because you should never betray your friends because you will lose them . |

Father stands in his night robes, scanning a faded map. No sign of hatred. Not
even a hint of disgust.
For him, carving MAGGOT into a girl’s back is just another day’s work.
…
In that instant it hits me: Zulaikha’s death. Zélie’s screams. They don’t mean a
thing to him. Because they’re maji, they’re nothing.
This could be compared to / A message I take from this scene is
Think about how the word ‘maggot’ is used. This is a slur. Do we have these in real life?
My wondering is why the king is hurting her own daughter.

your father calls for my head!”
“My father’s scared.” Inan shakes his head. “He’s misguided, but his fear is
justified. All the monarchy’s ever seen is the destruction maji can bring.
They’ve never experienced anything like this.” He gestures to the camp, face
alight with so much hope his smile practically glows in the darkness. “Zulaikha
created this in one moon, and there are already more diviners in Lagos than
anywhere else in Orïsha. Just imagine what we could accomplish with the
resources of the monarchy behind us.”

We zip through the crowd while celebrants thrust and shimmy by our sides.
Though part of me wants to cry, I crane my neck to take in the crowd, craving
their joy, their life.
The children of Orïsha dance like there’s no tomorrow, each step praising the
gods. Their mouths glorify the rapture of liberation, their hearts sing the
Yoruba songs of freedom. My ears dance at the words of my language, words I
once thought I’d never hear outside my head. They seem to light up the air
with their delight.
It’s like the whole world can breathe again.

Chaos.
Before this moment, I never truly understood the word. Chaos meant
Mother’s screams before a luncheon. It meant the scramble of oloyes to their
gold-lined chairs.
Now chaos surrounds me, pulsing through every breath and heartbeat. It sings
as blood splatters through the air, snickers with delight as boats explode into
oblivion.

wind racer
The distance that the wind racers had to go was 9m and we got a speed of 0.9 meters per second
We choose the design because it was an easy design and we couldn't be bothered thinking about it anymore and we could've changed it by making a better sail and more aerodynamic and less holes.

children of blood and bone chapter 22
I pause for a moment, aghast at the number of them filling the narrow path. Before today, I caught only glimpses of the labourers brought in to staff the palace—always pleasant, clean, groomed to Mother’s satisfaction. Like Binta, I thought they lived simple lives, safe within the palace walls. I never considered where they came from, where else they might have ended up,
“Skies…” It’s almost too hard to bear the sight. Mostly diviners, the labourers outnumber the villagers by hordes, dressed in nothing but tattered rags. Their dark skin blisters under the scorching sun, marred by the dirt and sand seemingly burned into their beings. Each is hardly more than a walking skeleton.
This could be compared to / A message I take from this scene is: My wondering is why they are all like skeletons.

chapter 3, Amari
Skies…
What does this mean for us? What shall happen to the monarchy? Are the maji already planning an attack? Will we have any chance of fighting back?
Memories of Father before the Raid play in my head, a paranoid man with grinding teeth and forever graying hair. The man who forced Inan and me into the palace cellar, placing swords in our hands though we were far too young and weak to lift them.
The maji will come for you, he warned. The same words every time he forced us to spar. When they do, you must be prepared.
This could be compared to / A message I take from this scene is. my wondering is why they both have magic

Chapter 2 – Zélie
“It’s a diviner tax.” I grip the draped fabric of my pants, still haunted by the guard’s touch. “They came for Mama Agba, too. Probably hitting every home in Ilorin.”
Tzain presses his fists to his forehead as if he could smash through his own skull. He wants to believe that playing by the monarchy’s rules will keep us safe, but nothing can protect us when those rules are rooted in hate.
This could be compared to / A message I take from this scene is this reminds me of the power of one and apartheid.

1:Get some 20 mm wide and 3 mm thick mild steel and cut it so it is 112 mm long .
2: File the work down to 110 mm then find the middle line and mark 10mm down in and then do a 10 mm radius at the other end go 5 in at the end and 5 across and make angle on it.

The lighting is used effectively to create a dark and foreboding atmosphere.
|
The light from behind makes the location seem like a back street alley, while the wall would hide them from the view of the singing tribes.
|
It would make suspense and puts them in a secluded area where other guards can’t see to stop them.

It causes worry and fear, it makes viewers wonder what lengths the guard will go to.

You can contrast this to the earlier scene with the guard where if they had gotten into a fight there would be other guards to stop them.

We got told to hop into groups of 4 or 5 but I was in a group of 3
Then we were told to weigh 0.25 grams of salicylic acid into a 10-15-cm test tube
then you have to add 2.0 ml of methanol to the test tube and swirl until the solid dissolves
then slowly add 10 drops of sulfuric acid
what happened. Nothing happened
what could we change, we could've changed the amount of stuff we put in it
