This is a symbol of when she looks through the tunnel for the first time and she says what is it and then she goes through it and it leads her to the other world. This is another symbol of when Caroline was telling he parents about the other world and her mum didn't believe her and then her dad started making up a story.
This is another symbol when the other mother swallows the key because Caroline said * I thought there was only one key* then the other mother had the key and then she swallowed it.
